Use the Page Properties dialog box to define an image or color for the page background. If you use both an image and a background color, the color appears while the image downloads.

To define a background image or color:

1	Choose Modify > Page Properties, or right-click (Windows) or Control-click (Macintosh) in the Document window.
2	Enter the path to the background image in the Background Image box, or click the folder to the right of the box and choose the image.
	Dreamweaver tiles the background image if it is smaller than the browser window.
3	Choose a background color from the Background Color pop-up menu.
